It's possible that the app has gone to sleep and it's taking a moment to wake back up. Normally, the app page shows a "Waking up the app" message when you access a sleeping app. However, if you leave the app idle for more than 15 minutes (for apps hosted on Trial plans) or 48 hours (hosted on Pro or Max plans), and no one else is interacting with it, then the app goes to sleep and does not display the wake-up message. Refreshing the page should cause the wake-up message to appear―or, if it has finished waking up, the app should respond normally.

Responsiveness issues can also be caused by the app code. If you are the app creator, we recommend checking its runtime logs.
