How can I revert to a previous revision of a chart?

When you change the prompt for a module (such as a chart or component), Plotly Studio regenerates the module. Currently, Plotly Studio does not keep a history of the module, so you cannot directly undo a change that you are unhappy with.

Here are some strategies to ensure you do not lose elements of your app that could still come in handy:

  • Think of the prompts, specifications, and code for your app modules as artifacts that can be reused (partially or completely) in prompts for new modules.

  • Don't delete a module unless you're sure that you don't need its prompt, specification, or code anymore.

  • If needed, consider manually saving prompts or specifications outside of Plotly Studio.
